To ensure that your AiraNui Indoor Air Purifier operates properly, periodic maintenance is required. Here are the basic maintenance procedures to keep your unit running at top performance!
Before you get started…
Make sure you unplug your AiraNui when you want to wash or maintain the unit. This helps prevent electric shocks.
After that, push down on the two latches on the back cover. From there, you’ll be able to remove the filters by pulling on the ribbon tabs at the top of each filter.
The Back Panel
The Back Panel is a sediment filter that captures large particulates such as dust, dirt and pet hair and prevents these particles from reaching the inner workings of the AiraNui.
When visibly dirty, simply remove the back panel, and clean it with a hand-help vacuum or with cool water and a small brush.
Allow the Back Panel to completely dry before reinstalling it into the purifier.
- The Back Panel should be cleaned about once a month.
The HEPA Filter
The HEPA filter collects airborne microbes as small as 0.01 micron, including mold spores, dust mites, pet dander and particulates that produce allergies and other respiratory problems.
Just like with the Back Panel, when the HEPA Filter is visibly dirty, simply remove it, and clean it with a hand-held vacuum or with cool water and a small brush.
Allow the HEPA Filter to completely dry before reinstalling it into the purifier.
The Carbon VOC Filter
Our Carbon VOC Filter deodorizes and absorbs impurities that irritate the eyes, nose and throat.
The Carbon VOC Filter cannot be cleaned.
The UV Light
Ultra-violet light is a bacteriastat. It destroys micro-organisms. UV light filters are used widely in hospitals and medical clinics for sterilization.
- When the UV light burns out, you’ll want to replace it as soon as you can.

Titanium Dioxide Filter
Our UV light filter is combined with this Titanium Dioxide Filter, producing super-charged ions to clean the air of mold, pollen, germs and bacteria. It converts pollutants to harmless water vapor, while leaving your home smelling fresh and clean.
The Ozone Generator
Good news! The Ozone Generator should not require any regular maintenance.
