Video Transcript for Changing Your SteamPure Filter
Congratulations on purchasing your Aquanui CT or SteamPure Water Distiller. Today I’m going to show you how to install your post-carbon filter and change out your post-carbon filter.
Here we have the AquaNui CT, which is a similar unit to the SteamPure. If you notice, on the back here, we have our steam tube where the water will come out. You will attach your fitting right here, which will allow you to connect your post carbon filters.
Your install kit comes with your post-filter and your fitting. After rinsing out your filter, run water through this tube to flush out any loose carbon sediment outside your filter, and your filter will be ready to go.
To install this, you’re going to slide it onto this a steam tube right here. The first thing you notice about your fittin is the two John Guest fittings on either side. These are these little dark gray rings. These are going to lock onto the tube when it’s inserted in. You notice that one end can be unscrewed so that it loosens. This is going to help you lock this end onto the steam to here. So you want to unscrew it. You don’t want to screw it all the way because it can fully come off. Unscrew it just enough that this John Guest fitting here is loose. You will next insert it onto the tube firmly, and it should stop itself after that. After that, you want to screw and tighten down the fitting until this is flush and the John Guest fitting is fully extended out. It should be locked on there tightly. You should not have any reason to remove this fitting now that it is installed. If you need to remove it, you can unscrew it to loosen the John Guest fitting again and press in on the fitting itself, and it slides right off. You will want to apply equal pressure on each side of this John guest fitting on the tube and then pull out as you press in on it.
So now we have this installed, the following item to insert is the post filter. In the metal tube, this is what’s going to go inside of your John guest fitting. Apply evenly, and it’ll slide right in, and you know it’s good because it’s locked into the position where I can’t pull it out.
After you use your filter for about three months, you’re going to change out this post filter. You don’t need to do anything with the fitting here. All you need to do is remove the filter out of the fitting. So again, you’ll press in on the John guest fitting right here. It will be a tight lock, so you want to be careful, but all you need to do is make sure that this is flush with the rest of the fitting as you hold it down and then pull out on this.
