I’m pleased that you have joined the many thousands of people who have decided to invest in a Pure Water Distiller for your drinking water needs.
Your investment in the Pure Water distiller was a wise one and one which I hope you and your family will appreciate for many years to come. As you are aware, distillation is the single-most-effective method for purifying drinking water regardless of the water quality of your source water. We have even been to Southern California to evaluate how effective our distillers are in purifying sea water. The results were fantastic. From a total dissolved solids (TDS) level of more than 35,000 parts per million (ppm) we obtained water that was less than 3 ppm on the first pass through. Now that’s effective!
Purifying contaminated water is a tough job. There are over 80,000 chemical contaminants known. And the EPA only requires water utilities to test for around 125. So its important that you have confidence in the water purification system you use.
Your distiller works quite simply. The heating element in the boiling chamber heats your incoming water until it comes to a “rolling boil”. This exposure at the boiling point is longer than authorities say to boil water with microbiological contaminants and should give you confidence. Once the water boils it changes phase. By that I mean the H2O change from a liquid state to a vapor, which we know as steam. This phase-change further enhances the distillation process as virtually all contaminants remain in the water. Some volatile organic compounds VOCs, if present, may evaporate before the H2O evaporates. We take care of this situation with 2 steps – we have designed a double vent in our condenser design, plus we use a carbon filter for the condensed steam – now called distilled water, to drip through. Analytical results show that these steps are very effective.
Because of the distillation process we have never flunked a third party laboratory test for microorganisms and we proudly claim our distillers produce “BioSecure” water. You may not think this is important but ask the people from New Orleans – many of whom died from drinking highly polluted water.
