My still is labeled “MD-4,” looks exactly like this one, and has the same output. It was bought in the early nineties, I wish I knew exactly when. I have kept track of the number of gallons this little jewel has provided us, however. The number stands at a mind blowing 7,123 gallons, as of today. And it is running in the next room as we write. Replaced the lid gasket once, and other minor things over the years. Thank you Pure Water, for building something solid.

This isn’t the distiller I own (mine is a Midi -D gotten in 1981 & has a separate 4-gallon storage tank below the distiller. You must have discontinued that design). Still it is the one machine I have in my life that I can trust to function as promised. Doing the math, I have had it just over 40 years and it’s still trucking’ a long. I used it constantly and always have. For anyone who wants a distiller, buy this brand. It is truly the very best.

I have run this distiller at least half the time for over three years now. I replaced the heater element twice because I should have cleaned it more often. If I use a descale powder once a week or so, the heater lasts a long time. The 3/8″ drain is too small. I removed it and the front panel, put fresh plumber’s tape on the drain pipe fitting, and installed a 1/2″ ball valve — MUCH BETTER, and no leaks. I would definitely buy this distiller again. 1000’s of hours of use and still going strong. The water it produces is pure and tastes great.

I have had my SteamPure Countertop Water Distiller for 7 years now. I couldn’t be anymore pleased with it. After all this time it still functions perfectly with little maintenance. All that is required is occasional cleaning and changing the filters. I use the water for myself, in cooking, and for my pets. I add a little baking soda to make the water less dry so to speak. My grandson says I have the best water. Thank you for this quality product that contributes to my health and those that I love.
