Description
Heating Element for Mega, Aqua-D series, A-12 and old series Aqua Fountain.
Heating Element kit includes heater (#7070), gaskets and U-clamp with instructions.
How to replace the heating element in the Mega Classic
1.) First, remove the back cover from the unit. Then remove the remaining cladding from around the distiller.
2.) Remove the 2 terminal screws from the end of the heating element & remove the 2 wires from each side of the terminal block as well as disconnect the ground wire from the hex nut (โ
). Make sure to keep wires separate to avoid a mix-up when reconnecting them.
3.) Remove the 4 hex nuts and washers from the end of the heating element. Remove the stainless steel hex nut (โ
) and release the U-clamp from inside the boiling tank.
4.) The old heating element is now free for removal.
5.) Insert the new heating element and ensure the gasket is in place. Tighten the 4 hex nuts at the end of the heating element.
6.) Inset the U-clamp onto the element and tighten the stainless steel hex nut to secure it. Do not over-tighten the hex nut.
7.) Reconnect the terminal block wires as well as the grounding wire with its hex nut.
8.) Screw the outer cladding & back cover back onto the distiller. 9.) Your distiller is now ready to use!
