This is an incredible distiller, water quality is amazing – the automatic water pump has great pressure. My only concern about it is that it’s incredibly loud to have in a kitchen/dining room. If I could locate it in our garage or somewhere away from living spaces without it freezing that would be better. Just wish it wasn’t so loud. It’s the cooling fan. It’s very loud. The water pump is very loud too. I’ll get used to it.

We have a pair of Mega Classic distillers in our wastewater treatment lab. The water is very consistent. We use them to make in-house standards and they have never given us problems. We also rinse our glassware with it and it’s spotless. Maintenance is easy, especially if you have a softener of some sort before the water inlet. We’re very please with Pure Water and their service.

I received my unit yesterday. I installed it in my basement and tubed it up to an on demand faucet above the unit into the kitchen sink. Installation was done in one evening. I am an experienced field service professional, but this was not hard. Hardest part was not misplacing the parts that came with it. This morning I have distilled water at the sink. I put the manual spout on,the unit just in case I ever wanted to use it from the basement. It is annoyingly slow flow out of that valve. Good thing I don’t have to use it, or I would be searching for a higher flow manual valve. Or I would remove the valve and see if there is a blockage causing the low flow. The kitchen faucet on demand pump does a decent flow rate. I was worried about that when I orded the system, but I am satisfied with the flow rate at the kitchen.

We have had our Mega Classic for about eight years now. We have moved it into a new home and it is just as good as the day we bought it. The only bottled water that tastes close is smart water (distilled). We have saved a fortune, invested in our health, and are well beyond break-even. I have some concerns about water safety if you are looking here you feel the same, I will offer no commentary there. This was a major purchase for us that we carefully considered and it has paid off in health and savings.
