Thomas Hackim –
Investing in our health should be priority Number 1. Since 1996 I have been investing in my health by drinking the purest and I believe healthiest water. This is thanks to MYPURE Water Mini Classic Water Distiller. The one I have now is my second unit and distill water everyday. I serve people this water and they say it is the best water they have drank… and it sure is. Benjamin Franklin said this … “that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” And drinking this Pure Water is one avenue (of many) to the long term prevention of poor health as we age – and leading to curative and holistic health. Just my opinion!
When I see the people consuming water in plastic bottles, as if it is healthy and nutritious, I marvel at how they have been sold a bill of goods – worth nothing. These plastic bottles have gone through numerous temperature changes from factory to the retail outlet. Additionally, the microscopic plastic inside the bottle floating around in the water to drink – is like poison. Therefore, FYI I never put my Pure Water in a plastic container to drink. Great product that I will continue use everyday.

Best decision we have made for quality products and the best tasting water. We purchased distilled water by the gallon for decades, and although it was difficult spending that much money on the unit up front, we have recouped the entire cost in one year. It is easy to operate. Great for RV travel, as well as home. We love this company for supporting their consumers with parts available for purchase, adding more life to the unit. We have been using the Mini Classic for a little over a year with zero problems. Much gratitude to mypurewater.com for quality products, healthy water, and saving us money!
walter napolitan –
I’ve owned this since early 2022. I have not missed a single day. It has been totally reliable. I can no longer enjoy tap water. I’ll drink it, of coarse if I need to but for over 2 years now, drinking pure H20 every day, I prefer the taste. I do not use the charcoal filters. I now am accustomed to not tasting “minerals” whatever they were. I get my minerals from food.
Marc Landry –
I have had the Mini Classic distiller for years, and I love it. I use it nearly daily, and find it to be very reliable. I love the fact that the water never comes into contact with plastic, and it is very easy to clean. I have had to replace a few parts over the years, and the unit is made to make replacing a part very easy. The parts I needed were shipped almost immediately, and the instructions were clear and simple, so a part replacement took just minutes, and the unit is back to working great!! I hope to enjoy this distiller for years to come.
Tom Fleischmann –
Wonderful addition. quality welds and fabrication. We have gone through 2 of the chinese offbrands last about a year. So glad I found this. Wonderful support from your dealer in Quito Ecuador.
Jesse Eyrich –
I’ve owned this distiller for about 3 years…maybe more. I make an average of 4 gallons/day of distilled water. It’s been running perfectly, except for the one time I dropped the boiling tank by accident and broke the heating element plug. MPW sells the element, though, and I had it replaced in short order. I recommend this to anyone looking for a sturdy long lasting distiller that’s a true workhorse.
Teddogg –
Have used this near daily for close to 10 years and it is still performing great even after thousands of use cycles, highly recommend this quality product!
Alex –
This is a well-built machine backed by excellent customer service and a lot of know-how.
I did have a very rare issue where my distilled water had a nasty sweet taste left over. Between some email exchanges and a call with an expert of theirs, I was told my tap water may have lots of chloramine. This is very difficult for a manual-fill distiller like this to completely remove. If you experience this, it may be best to remove the carbon filter for the first part of a batch, toss that first part, install the filter, and let the distillation finish. I’m thankful for their efforts in helping me find a solution.
This thing is awesome, though. Absurdly well-built, designed intelligently, easy to use, and well-supported.

I own the previous model of this item (Mini Classic 2 — w/mechanical timer vs. toggle switch) which I purchased twelve years ago, I am super-pleased with the unit.
Things that I would recommend that new purchasers of this unit do;
1) Stay on top of maintenance, this is critical! I have from the start and it will pay for itself down the road;
2) Purchase extra parts for the unit when you buy it. Personally, I purchased extra gaskets, O-rings, charcoal disks, heating element, jars, and boiling tank lid. I have since purchased an extra of all of the parts that I could as you never know when something is going to crap out.
In the twelve years of ownership, I have had to replace all of them except for the boiling tank lid. Gaskets and charcoal disks are a ‘wear item’, heating element was due to really hard water where I was and had to be cleaned often – I now live in an area that doesn’t poise that problem – jars break…boiling tank lid – you can get the individual parts, but it’s ultimately cheaper to just get the whole thing is one part goes south (except for the gasket, that’s a normal wear item).
3) With the cost of stuff going up by the month, you’re saving money in the end.

I do not have the Mini but I am goin to order one for my son who is renting right now. We bought a distiller from this company in 1982. It has been running ever since. We had to replace the
Solenoid in the back and the drain valve (available at Home Depot). You may find a cheaper distiller but you won’t find a better made one from as good a company. Distilled water is delicious.
Katie –
Excellent! Produces great tasting water. FedEx goofed during shipping but Pure and Secure had my back and remedied the problem – I so appreciate it!
Kay Zimmerman –
I have had the Mini Classic CT Countertop Water Distiller for over a year now. I am super happy with it! The water tastes awesome! It is the best water I have ever tasted in my life. My doctor is the one who introduced me to this distiller and encouraged me to try it. He is convinced distilled water is the purest water we can drink in today’s world. I am grateful to him as well as to Pure Water for making these distillers available to us. USA made, as well, which is great!
DJ Sean E –
This distiller is great! I’ve had mine for around 3 years now and have zero complaints. Money well spent!
mat6719ct –
I have been using this model for close to 3 months now and it has been fantastic and have had zero issues with it. The water tastes great too.
Lois –
Terrific!
Susan Carfagno –
I cannot say enough good about this product and this company!! They are stupendous!! We bought this product in 2008, correct, 13, going on 14 years ago!! It works GREAT. We have replaced the heating element a couple times over these years. And, yes, even for someone who is not particularly mechanically inclined, it is easy to replace the heating element. The people are really available to talk with about what might be wrong, You get a real person from the USA, who actually knows what they are doing and are able to help you know what to do. The product is pricey, but soooo worth it. We went through 2-3 distillers prior to finding this one. Each prior distiller lasted 3-4 MONTHS, never mind years.
Chuck –
1.5 years. Perfect distilled water. Run it all day every day except when we’re on vacation. it slow but the quality is good. Get 3 gallons per day from it.
David Miller –
Been using these products for 40 years. Very pleased with the performance.
Jean Johnson –
Never been happier with a product. My MiniClassic CT runs almost daily to keep me in water. The water tastes so much better than my brackish water from my surface well.
Rebecca Brown –
I absolutely love this distiller. It’s compact, quiet, and only takes 3 and a half hours.
Robert Mallard –
Excellent product ! I run it daily . I feel really good now about the water I am drinking !
Thank you !
Lumiel –
This is a very high-quality product that performs well. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I have a little difficulty operating it because of my size. The service and information given are excellent, but all the preparation that I did before receiving my shipment didn’t prepare me adequately. All the videos make the first-time operation seem very easy. I found, through several false starts, that I needed to be extremely careful to pay attention to all the tiniest details as I prepare to distill my water. My first batch evaporated mostly into the chamber housing the boiling unit. This happened perhaps 3 times until I began a 4-point check to make sure the lid was absolutely seated where it should be and absolutely level (I hadn’t realized that I’d left the lid at an angle I couldn’t see from where I was standing). Each time this happened I thought I understood what the problem was, and the next few batches went smoothly. And then several days later, it would happen again. I don’t have dementia, but I may have a lot on my mind all the time. This warning perhaps should be mentioned in the manual. The other situation I’m not crazy about is the weight of the boiler. I am very small and elderly, and it’s making me stronger to wrestle that boiler in and out a couple of times every day. If it were made of inferior stainless steel, it would weigh less, not what I’d wish. All in all, I’m glad I paid much more for this unit. There are other much more affordable units for sale online, and several of my patients have bought them because they don’t value the workmanship that goes into a really good product. I’d rather pay more and have my distiller become an heirloom to pass on to my daughter when I am gone.
Courtney –
We are loving our water distiller! We bought it for the health benefits. We didn’t want to drink our city water and also I like to use distilled water for natural medicinal remedies when needed. It’s nice to have on hand. We are a large family of 7. And I run it quite a bit. To keep a supply available for my family. I’m very happy with it since it is our first. Maybe in the future we may need a larger unit. But for now I love this!
Clint Middleton –
I love my Mini Classic. Living in the country right by the Chesapeake Bay my well water measures in at 392 ppm, after using the distiller I am getting water at 2 ppm. This machine will pay for itself, reduce plastic waste and be a viable solution not only for my drinking water but also that for my dog and CPAP machine.
Diyan –
Best $600 spent. The only way to drink pure water. Love it!
Nate R –
Look no further than the Mini Classic for a top quality distiller that will provide years of service! I purchased my first Mini Classic in 2009 and it still produces ultra pure water (as confirmed with a 0 reading on a TDS meter). After running it 1 to 2 times almost every day for 11 years, it developed a slow leak in the boiling chamber. I didn’t know it at the time, but I believe this happened because I had been running it longer than is recommended, to the point that the boiling chamber would go almost dry. So the malfunction was due to user negligence, not the quality of the unit. Rather than replace the boiling chamber, I decided to treat myself to an entirely new unit. I couldn’t be happier with the updated push button controls (my old unit had a knob).
The water tastes incredible to me, and whenever I go on vacation and drink non-distilled water it feels heavy. I like to restructure the water by vortexing it with a small amount of sole salt or Quinton marine plasma, and sitting it next to a Somavedic (energized crystals). After the restructuring process, it becomes silky smooth and ultra hydrating. I also sometimes drink it ‘dry’ without any minerals to help cleanse my body.
Robert Haw –
What a high quality product! I know the Mini Classic CT will last a long time and it is made in the USA. I feel confident that the water I am drinking from the Mini Classic CT is as pure and healthy as you can expect. I love it. Thank You!
Jackie –
Love it, now I’m confident I have pure healthy water.
Mr Teddy –
well . . . in a nut shell Im beyond impressed BUT I would highly recommend cleaning the steam outlet in the boiling chamber with QTips with a rolling motion. I was shocked to see black stuff [looked like grease] that I pulled out with the QTip. I kept rolling it around as deep as the QTip would go until there was nothing left on the QTip . It reminded me of cleaning 8 Track or cassette deck pinch rollers until all the oxide was removed. Any ways I’m glad I saw the goop inside the steam outlet hole which might be a part of the assembly process [perhaps its grease to help the steam outlet slide in and out easily?] but if not maybe it shouldve been removed but I’m sure they wouldn’t just leave black goop on the inside of the steam outlet.
None the less its a GREAT machine and I make about 5 bottles [buy their glass gallon bottles for best results] and 5 gallons lasts about a week for me [I live alone] and in all honesty I think I’ll always check the steam outlet hole from time to time and of course clean the tank monthly with the highly recommend Lumen.
I should mention that my Great Aunt had one for many many years and looked healthy as could be so I decided to see if I could live as long as she did . . [she was 107] 🙂 I remember she called it her “Fountain of youth” !! Hope my review helps and Kudos to the man who left us and the future generations a true legacy !
sincerely MrTeddy
Pure Water –
Hi Teddy, thank you for your feedback! We appreciate it! There should be lubricant in that steam tube, but I’m not sure why it was black. We’ve had a customer service technician reach out to you to find out more. You will likely need to reapply some food grade silicone lubricant to make sure you can slide the boiling tank in and out. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
DAVID ST LOUIS –
This Pure Water Mini Classic is excellent. This is our third one. Two for the house and one for the RV. Even our dogs only drink the distilled water with minerals we add. We would be lost without this distiller.
svetlana –
I love it. Water taste good. Easy to use. Company is very responsive.
Charlie Chapman –
Been using our new Mini Classic Water Distiller for about a month with the carbon filter and the distilled water taste great! We have been using one of your original Midi Distrillers for over 30 years before we had to replace it with the new Mini Classic. Product has been reliable and durable.
Wendy –
The Mini Classic CT has been a great addition to our lives. We’ve had it about a month and Love it! Also, Pure Water company was very responsive with our order, questions, etc… Thanks!😊
Charles Jennings –
I bought my unit in 2014 I believe and have been using it daily ever since except until 2020 when the heating element went out. I added up what I spent on gallon size distilled water and it came to almost $70 so I decided to fix the unit. Now we are back in business and running the unit 1-2 times a day. We live in the mountains of SC and our water is really good but still treated with chlorine and fluoride. I prefer the water to sit out overnight as the chlorine will evaporate naturally. Remember to dump your tank often as the fluoride and minerals will concentrate with each use. I have only had to clean my tank one time all these years as our water is not that hard. Highly recommend buying American.
Michael Carpenter –
Excellent Water Distiller, I make 4-5 gallons per day. On my second new unit now. The original unit produced over 10,402 gallons w/o any failures, very little maintenance required.. I refurbished my original Distiller and now have a spare for high demand events. Excellent unit, my preference vs a filter system.
Keith –
I’ve had mine for 13 years now and it has been great. Just the right size for us. Fits easily on the counter. We often run it at bedtime so we have pure water first thing in the morning. Though it only needs a few hours. Everyone wants to drink water from the mini classic instead of the faucet water.
Heidi Garvin –
Thanks for sharing your story! We’re so glad you have fresh distilled water at home.
Barbara Holli –
So easy to use and has the best quality of water you could have.
Jean –
Nothing better than distilled water for taste and health. My late husband bought one 10-20 years ago and people are still using it. The water here in No. Western Nevada is very alkaline. I have never had mine tested but the more I drank the thirstier I got! Not with the classic CT distilling it! And I don’t have to worry about any plastics. Great machine and great service. Thanks.
Dean –
I’ve had this Mini Classic for about 10 years now. It probably averages a tank a day. As one would expect, I’ve needed to replace a small part here or there, but overall this thing has been astoundingly reliable.
We have heavy iron and tannins in our well water, and the Classic brings it crystal clear.
Very well done guys.
Romano –
On March 18, 2018, I purchased my first water distiller, a Pure Water Mini Classic CT. I carefully research anything before make a purchase and knew this was something that I needed and not just “wanted”. I try to buy the best quality products and never regret doing so. This product was no exception.
I wanted to wait six (6) months before giving my review on this product, as I felt this would allow a fair amount of time before sharing my thoughts and experience. In the past, I have owned high-end RO systems and gravity fed filtration systems, but NONE of them compare to the quality and taste that this machine produces.
The fact that it is made in the USA by a company that has been in business for 50 years, says and means a lot to me. I was confident that I would be purchasing a high quality product that would last me a lifetime. The whole philosophy behind this company’s business model, aligns with my own values and expectations. The fact that it is made of high quality stainless steel and that my water touches no plastic, was a determining factor over other brands and models.
When I first received my Mini Classic CT, it could not have been more easily to setup and start producing the best water I’ve ever had. When I first purchased my Mini Classic CT, I bought five one gallon glass jars and today, I ordered five more. I produce on average two (2) gallons a day, one in the morning before work and the other before bedtime. So I always have plenty of pure water on hand.
The water in my area (Las Vegas valley) is very hard and high in chlorine and other toxic chemicals, like hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride). In case you were unaware, this chemical “weaponizes” the municipal water supply, as it calcifies the pineal gland. Yes, it actually lowers your “IQ”. This was an extremely important factor in selecting the Mini Classic CT as it removes all of the harmful fluoride from our water. When maintaining the storage tank, it was “shocking” to see all of the inorganic scale and byproducts that were left in storage tank. Frightening to say the least… be sure to get the Lumen cleaner!
The TDS in my area reads between 350-460 PPM. When I first began producing Pure Water, I noticed that my TDS reading were between 2-5 PPM. This soon dissipated to 1 PPM with every batch thereafter. I was curious why my water was reading “1 PPM” and not “0 PPM”. Here is what I discovered; If I placed my water in the refrigerator, the next morning when I tested it again, it read “0 PPM”. I was ecstatic and very pleased!
In closing, I quickly found during my research that; there are many companies that make fortunes on the residual of selling plastic filters that are far less effective than what these machines are capable of producing. RO system and the like are “Cash Cows” and in my opinion produce water that is inferior to pure distilled water. Please educate yourself and don’t believe the disinformation regarding pure distilled water. If you think you need minerals in your water, simply buy a liquid brand you like and add a few drops or if you want to alkalize your water, just add some 100% organic lemon and/or lime juice to your water, it has the opposite affect in the human body and turns the acidic juice to alkalize your body. There is NOTHING more pure than Pure Water distillers. I love mine and I’m confident you will too… Thank you Pure Water for a great product!

I recently purchased a Mini Classic late 2017. I have used cheaper Chinese water distillers with limited results primarily they fail in the first year. This time I spent a bit more money and purchased an American Made Mini Classic what a difference in quality. I produce 3-4 gallons per day easily and I could make more if needed. I like the auto shutoff feature, Excellent Machine. Don’t be afraid of the price as I feel it is worth it especially if you have previously owned a cheap unit that did not work well or failed. Use the post carbon filter supplied by Pure Water as it is better than the ones you find on Ebay. Follow the directions and soak your filter first for a few minutes. I replace the filter after 25 gallons. You will not be disappointed with Pure Water Mini Classic, worth every penny.
Jerald Lutgring –
Love my Mini Classic. I had some problems with it not starting but Pure and Secure sent me an updated part which I easily installed and I’m back in business. One minor issue is the strong smell of chlorine. I thought distilling water removed all chlorine. All that’s needed is a carbon filter but I’m having difficulty finding a filter that you can use without having to use a carbon pour-through filter which put minerals back into the water. I use distilled water in my medical equipment and I can’t tolerate water with dissolved solids. I will update this post when I find a suitable solution.
Jim –
Hello Jerald,
If you have a strong chlorine component to your water but don’t want to use the post filter with the Mini, you could pre filter the unit through a carbon filter, that way any carbon from the filter would be removed by the distillation. Since chlorine is a VOC and will boil off at a lower temperature than water, you can also boil the water on the stove first to vent off the chlorine and then run the water through the distillation. We are always happy to hear from happy Pure Water customers. Let us know how it turns out for you.

Best product!
